About Valerie Rowe...
Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey of taking control and transforming your physical, emotional and mental health.
I felt such a deep sense of peace through a breath awareness meditation after my first yoga class. When I discovered breathe means spirit in Latin, I understood why learning pranayama (breath control) made me feel so centered and peaceful.
That was thirty years ago and at that time the thought arose that someday I would share this amazing feeling with others.
When my daughters went away to college I went to Kripalu Yoga & Health Centre in Lenox, Massachusetts to volunteer (also called karma yoga).
My intention was to learn and deepen my practice of yoga by living a yogic lifestyle. My experience at Kripalu was an amazing gift, living in community offered healing, expansion and challenges.
While there, I completed my yoga teacher training and my dream of sharing the gifts of meditation and yoga came true. While at Kripalu, I experienced my first Thai massage. This amazing healing and opening experience was forever imprinted in my body and mind.
Again the thought arose: someday I will share this with others.
While training as a yoga teacher I experienced my first reflexology session. I was amazed at how working on my feet could deeply relax my whole body. So, now after certifying in Reflexology this spring I am very pleased to offer you another tool for your self-care: assisting you to create an ideal balance of health, fitness and relaxation in your life. I share with my students and clients that focusing on breath is both healing and empowering; whether it is in yoga/pilates class, while receiving Thai massage, Reflexology, Reiki or off the mat in your life.
It is the beginning of taking control of your physical, emotional and mental health to ultimately reach a higher state of harmony by fusing breath work and body movement.
My passion is offering tools for self-care so that my clients may enjoy vibrant healthy lives. And so my desire to continually expand and grow has led me to study Massage Therapy for the next three years. I look forward to sharing my new skills and tools with you as a Registered Massage Therapist in the near future!
